Being a teenager can be an exciting but challenging time, filled with big physical, emotional and social changes. It’s not uncommon for teens to experience mental health struggles.

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability. It is sometimes referred to as autism spectrum disorder or ASD.

In September 2023, there were 157,809 patients with an open referral for suspected autism. Of these, 134,315 (85%) had a referral that had been open at least 13 weeks.
